It’s always good to compete at home. You have home crowd advantage, you’re on your home track, everything is always just a little sweeter when it’s at home and for me it was just that. Sweet. I was able to set a personal best in the 300m (33.47) go back under 6.9 seconds in the 60m (6.88) and run a strong leg in the 4×400 (48.8x).
To say I was relieved would be an understatement. After a tough couple of meets it was really good to be able to have something to take away from the indoor season. Like I said the indoor season for me is never really about times, but it is always good to drop something quick in the event you’re competing in. I’m especially happy about my 300m result. Usually when I’ve seen big drops in my 300m time, my 200m time outdoors has been really solid. So that’s exciting. As for the 60m I should be running a lot quicker, but I’m happy that I didn’t run 7.08 again so I’ll take it for what it is.
All in all a pretty solid day of running for me.
Next stop Boston!
